History of India

Some Random stuff that i got it while reading History of attacks on Hindustan our India! Let me know if you see anything wrong or you want me to add something extra. By the way for you my friends i am researching on Marwar Regions history, History of Rajasthan(The land of Maharajas or The land of the Kings).



Time line starting from the 3300 BC till 2010(that is 5300 years old history):

- From 3300 to 1300 BC Indus Valley Civilization was North western part of the Indian Subcontinent.
- Its Mature Harappan period lasted from 2600-1900 BC.
- Mahavir,Gautam Buddha were born in the 6th century BCE.
- Persian empire around 543 BCE
- Alexander the Great in 326 BCE
- Subcontinent was united under the Maurya Empire during 4th and 3rd centuries BCE.
- Again it became fragmented into various kingdoms.
- Northern Regions- Gupta Empire.
- Southern India- Chalukyas, Cholas, Pallavas and Pandyas,
   this period is known as Golden Age of India.


- Islamic first invasion was in 712 CE by Muhammad bin Qasim by conquering Sindh and Multan.
  - Then Ghaznavi
     - then Muhammad Ghorid
        - then Mughal Empire
- In addition to mughal various empires were also flourishing side by side they are
   - Maratha Empire
      - Vijayanagara Empire
         - various Rajput kingdoms.
- Then came British East India Company.

Kumbhalgarh City, Rajasthan

A must be visited place in Rajasthan but less travelled due to high profile places Jaipur and Udaipur, but famous for its Fort and Light show. Just one word for it Amazing.

Nestled in the cluster of 13 mountain peaks of the Aravali ranges the city of Kumbhalgarh is located to the south of the beautiful Pink City – Jaipur and around 100 km from the city of sunrise – Udaipur. Kumbhalgarh is one of the most visited places in the state of Rajasthan, India and famous for its gigantic Kumbhalgarh Fort. The mammoth Kumbhalgarh Fort was built and designed by Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. This fort is the second major fort in the Mewar region after Chittorgarh.
